Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened Use room temperature for better creaming.
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
For Assembly and Topping
  • Nutella Nutella (for stuffing) For creating a gooey center.
  • Flaky sea salt Flaky sea salt (for topping) Sprinkle on top before baking.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  4. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
Assembly
  1. In a cast-iron skillet, spread half of the cookie dough evenly.
  2. Spoon dollops of Nutella in the center and cover with the remaining cookie dough.
  3. Sprinkle flaky sea salt on top.
Baking
  1. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
  2. Serve warm directly in the pan.

Notes

For a vegan version, substitute unsalted butter with coconut oil and use flaxseed instead of the egg. Experiment with mix-ins like peanut butter chips or chopped nuts.
