Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, mix together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until creamy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until well combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Drop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Baking
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
- Let them cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For thicker cookies, chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking. You can swap half the chocolate chips for nuts for a crunchy variation. Don't forget to sprinkle sea salt on top before baking for a gourmet touch.
