Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1 pinch salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 3/4 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cold eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, slightly softened
Chocolate Chips
  • 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and cornstarch. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the brown sugar, granulated sugar, and butter until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract, and mix for about 3-4 minutes.
Mixing and Baking
  1. Fold in the dry ingredients followed by the chocolate chips.
  2. Scoop the dough onto the baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes until golden but still soft in the middle.

Notes

For thicker cookies, chill the dough in the fridge for 30 minutes before baking. Store cookies in an airtight container for about a week.
