Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.
- In an electric mixer, beat the butter, sugar, and brown sugar together until fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
- Reduce the speed of the mixer and mix in the egg and vanilla until well combined.
- Sift the flour, baking soda, and salt together in a separate bowl.
- Slowly mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
Baking
- Drop oversized tablespoon dough balls onto a non-stick baking sheet.
- Bake for 8 to 10 minutes.
- Let them cool on the pan for 20 minutes before removing.
Notes
Let the cookies continue to cook on the pan after pulling them out of the oven for a perfect gooey center.
