Ingredients
  

For the Cookie Dough
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened Use room temperature for better blending.
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened Make sure it's at room temperature.
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt Balance flavors.
  • 1 cup chocolate chips Feel free to use different varieties.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat together the cream cheese and butter until smooth.
  3. Add the granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract, mixing well.
  4. Beat in the egg until fully incorporated.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  7. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  8. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  10. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Serve warm for a melt-in-your-mouth experience. Store in an airtight container for up to one week in the fridge, or freeze for up to three months. Reheat in the microwave for 10 seconds for a fresh taste.
