Method
 

Preparation
  1. Cream together the softened butter and cream cheese until smooth.

  3. Add sugars, egg, and vanilla to the butter mixture, then gradually mix in the dry ingredients.
  4. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  5. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for about 30 minutes.
Baking
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet.
  3. Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden but still soft.
Cooling
  1. Let the cookies cool on a rack before enjoying.
