Preparation
- Place the chicken breasts in the crockpot.
- In a bowl, mix the chicken broth, cream of chicken soup, and ranch dressing mix. Pour this over the chicken.
- If you want to add vegetables, place them on top of the chicken mixture.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Cooking
- Cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
- Shred the chicken in the crockpot using two forks, mixing it well with the sauce before serving.
Notes
For added flavor, marinate the chicken for a few hours before cooking. Use a meat thermometer to check that the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F. For a thicker sauce, remove the lid during the last 30 minutes of cooking to let it reduce.
