Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup unsalted butter (softened) Make sure butter is at room temperature.
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
Mix-Ins
  • 2 cups chocolate chips (semi-sweet or dark)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour and baking soda; set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream softened butter with brown sugar and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time along with the vanilla extract, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Gradually combine the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just blended.
  6. Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
Baking
  1. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing them apart.
  2. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are lightly golden; let cool on wire racks before serving.

Notes

Cookies can be stored in the fridge for up to a week or frozen for three months. Let them cool completely before storing.
