Ingredients
  

Meatball Mixture
  • 1 pound ground beef Can substitute with ground turkey or chicken.
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Enhances flavor.
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Assembly
  • 2 cups marinara sauce Can substitute with barbecue sauce for a different flavor.
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese Ensure it’s melted for best texture.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix together ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, egg, garlic, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Form the mixture into meatballs and place them on a baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 20-25 minutes until cooked through.
Assembly
  1. In a saucepan, heat the marinara sauce over medium heat.
  2. Once the meatballs are done baking, add them to the marinara sauce.
  3. Cut the hoagie rolls and place them on a baking sheet.
  4. Fill each roll with meatballs and sauce, then top with mozzarella cheese.
  5. Bake for another 5-10 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Serve hot.

Notes

For extra moistness, consider adding a splash of olive oil to the meat mixture. To serve, pair with potato chips or a fresh green salad.
