Ingredients
  

For the crust
  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
For the cheesecake filling
  • 2 cups cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups chopped apples (Granny Smith) Works great!
  • 1 cup caramel sauce Plus extra for drizzling when serving.
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs and melted butter. Press this mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking dish to form the crust.
  3. In a large bowl, beat together cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Stir in vanilla extract, then fold in chopped apples, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  5. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the crust in the baking dish. Drizzle caramel sauce on top.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes until the center is set.
  7. Let it cool, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours before cutting into bars. Serve chilled and enjoy!

Notes

Garnish with a sprinkle of cinnamon or a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an extra treat. Store in the refrigerator for up to five days. For longer storage, freeze individual bars wrapped in plastic wrap.
