  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 4 brioche buns
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Method
 

Cooking
  1. In a large skillet, sauté the onion, bell pepper, and garlic until soft.
  2. Add the ground chicken and cook until browned.
  3. Stir in ketchup, Cajun seasoning, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Cook until heated through.
  4. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat, whisk in milk and cheese until smooth to make the cheese sauce.
  5. Toast the brioche buns.
  6. Assemble the sloppy joes: spoon the chicken mixture onto the buns and top with cheese sauce. Serve hot.

Notes

These sloppy joes are customizable and can be adjusted for spice level or toppings. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for 3-4 days or frozen for up to 3 months.
