Ingredients
  

For the Dumplings
  • 8 leaves Cabbage leaves Blanched until softened
  • 1 lb Ground meat (chicken, turkey, or pork) Use your preferred type
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Pepper
  • 3 cloves Garlic Minced
  • 1 medium Onion Chopped
  • 2 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Sesame oil
  • 2 stalks Green onions Chopped, for garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Blanch the cabbage leaves by boiling in water for about 2 minutes until softened, then remove and pat dry.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the ground meat, minced garlic, chopped onion, salt, pepper, soy sauce, and sesame oil.
  3. Take a cabbage leaf, place a spoonful of the meat mixture at the base, and roll it up tightly, tucking in the sides.
  4. Repeat the process until all the filling is used.
Cooking
  1. Steam the dumplings for 15-20 minutes until fully cooked.
  2. Serve with a dipping sauce of your choice and a sprinkle of chopped green onions on top.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for 3-4 days or frozen for up to 3 months. For reheating, steam again or use a microwave.
