Ingredients
  

For the Cookies
  • 1 cup unsalted butter Melted until golden brown
  • 1 cup brown sugar Packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat until it turns golden brown. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the browned butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Mix well.
  4. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips and pecans.
Baking
  1. Scoop tablespoons of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  2. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden.
  3. Let cool on the sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week or freeze them for longer storage. Don’t skip the cooling time to let flavors develop.
