Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 1 lb ground meat (beef, turkey, chicken) Use any combination of ground meats.
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs Seasoned breadcrumbs can add extra flavor.
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese For added richness.
  • 1 piece egg Acts as a binder.
  • 2 cloves garlic Minced for flavor.
  • to taste salt and pepper Season according to preference.
  • as needed fresh herbs (parsley or basil) Chopped for added flavor.
  • as needed marinara sauce Optional, but suggested for serving.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) or heat a skillet for frying.
  2. In a bowl, mix all the ingredients until just combined. Avoid overmixing to keep meatballs tender.
  3. Shape the mixture into golf ball-sized meatballs and place them on a baking sheet or directly into your hot skillet.
Cooking
  1. Bake the meatballs for about 20 minutes in the oven, or fry until golden brown.
  2. If using marinara, simmer the meatballs in the sauce for an additional 10 minutes for more flavor.
  3. Serve and enjoy with pasta or in a sub.

Notes

For leftovers, refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months. When using frozen meatballs, thaw before cooking.
