  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the vanilla extract and eggs until well incorporated.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually blend the dry ingredients into the wet mixture.
  5. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  6. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased cookie sheets.
Baking
  1. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden but the centers are still soft.
  2. Allow to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.

Notes

For best results, chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking. Serve cookies warm with a side of milk for a heavenly experience.
