Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
 - In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
 - Beat in the vanilla extract and eggs until well incorporated.
 - In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually blend the dry ingredients into the wet mixture.
 - Stir in the chocolate chips.
 - Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased cookie sheets.
 
Baking
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden but the centers are still soft.
 - Allow to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.
 
Notes
For best results, chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking. Serve cookies warm with a side of milk for a heavenly experience.
