Ingredients
  

Meatball Mixture
  • 1 lb ground beef Use lean ground beef for optimal texture.
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs Can be substituted for gluten-free breadcrumbs.
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper
BBQ Sauce
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce Use your favorite variety.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, mix together ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, milk, egg, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into small meatballs and place them in a crockpot.
  3. Pour BBQ sauce over the meatballs.
Cooking
  1. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
Serving
  1. Serve hot as an appetizer or on fluffy buns for meatball subs.

Notes

For extra flavor, let the meatballs marinate in the fridge for an hour prior to cooking. Store leftovers in the fridge for 3-4 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
