Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, mash the bananas until smooth.
- Add the oats, cinnamon, salt, honey or maple syrup, nuts or chocolate chips, and vanilla extract to the bowl. Mix until combined.
- Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared baking pan.
Baking
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
- Allow to cool before cutting into bars.
Notes
These bars can be served warm with a drizzle of honey or topped with yogurt. They can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week or frozen for about three months.
