Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and black pepper.
- In an oven-safe skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of butter over medium-high heat and sear the chicken for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
Cooking
- Reduce heat to medium, add the remaining butter, and sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
- Whisk in honey, soy sauce, thyme, and ginger until smooth.
- Return chicken to the skillet, spoon the sauce over it, and then bake for 20-25 minutes.
Serving
- Serve garnished with parsley and your favorite sides.
Notes
Let chicken thighs rest for a few minutes after cooking to lock in those juices. Swap out honey for maple syrup for a fun twist. Use fresh ginger instead of ground for an extra zing in the flavor department. If you want some heat, throw in a pinch of red pepper flakes in the sauce.
