Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 6 pieces small boneless skinless chicken thighs feel free to substitute with chicken breasts if preferred.
  • 2 Tbsp salted butter divided
  • 6 cloves garlic minced
  • 3 Tbsp honey for the sauce
  • 2 Tbsp low sodium soy sauce for the sauce
  • 1/2 tsp ground thyme for the sauce
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger for the sauce
  • to taste salt and black pepper for seasoning

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels and sprinkle both sides with salt and black pepper.
Cooking
  1. In an oven-safe skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of butter over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  2. Reduce the heat to medium, add the remaining butter, and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant, about 30 seconds (don't burn it!).
  3. Whisk in honey, soy sauce, thyme, and ginger until smooth.
  4. Return the chicken to the skillet, spoon the sauce over it, and then bake for 20-25 minutes.
Serving
  1. Serve garnished with parsley and your favorite sides.

Notes

To store leftovers, keep in an airtight container in the refrigerator for about 3-4 days. For longer storage, freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat gently in the oven to restore the glaze.
