Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels and sprinkle both sides with salt and black pepper.
Cooking
- In an oven-safe skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of butter over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
- Reduce the heat to medium, add the remaining butter, and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant, about 30 seconds (don't burn it!).
- Whisk in honey, soy sauce, thyme, and ginger until smooth.
- Return the chicken to the skillet, spoon the sauce over it, and then bake for 20-25 minutes.
Serving
- Serve garnished with parsley and your favorite sides.
Notes
To store leftovers, keep in an airtight container in the refrigerator for about 3-4 days. For longer storage, freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat gently in the oven to restore the glaze.
