  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
Vegetables
  • 1 cup chopped broccoli
  • 1 cup sliced bell peppers
  • 2 pieces green onions, sliced (for garnish)
  • sesame seeds (for garnish)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Place chicken breasts in the crock pot.
  2. In a bowl, mix together teriyaki sauce, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil.
  3. Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken.
Cooking
  1. Cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  2. About 30 minutes before serving, add chopped broccoli and bell peppers to the crock pot.
  3. Once cooked, shred the chicken in the sauce.
Serving
  1. Serve with rice and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

For a quick shortcut, use frozen veggies. Double the sauce for extra flavor, add red pepper flakes for spice, or swap rice for cauliflower rice for a low-carb option. This recipe can be made with chicken thighs, tofu, or shrimp as protein variations.
