Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the sliced apples, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Mix well, then pour into a greased baking dish.
- In another bowl, mix together the flour, oats, brown sugar, melted butter, baking powder, and salt until crumbly.
- Sprinkle the oat mixture evenly over the apples in the baking dish.
Baking
- Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the topping is golden and the apples are bubbly.
- Serve warm, optionally with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a drizzle of caramel sauce.
Notes
Ensure apples are tender but not mushy for the best texture. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3-5 days, or freeze portions for up to 3 months.
