Preparation
- In a medium-sized bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Add in the Greek yogurt and mix the dough using a fork, your hands, or a rubber spatula until it’s wet but still slightly crumbly.
- Turn the dough out onto a well-floured surface and knead it into a smooth ball.
- Split the dough into 4 equal pieces.
- Roll each piece into a 5-6 inch long, 3/4 inch wide log and form it into a circle, pinching the ends.
Cooking
- In a small bowl, combine the egg yolk with water and brush the mixture all over each bagel, then sprinkle on your desired toppings.
- Preheat your air fryer to 350°F and spray the basket with olive oil.
- Arrange the bagels in the air fryer in a single layer, about 2 inches apart. Cook for about 10 minutes, or until they’re golden and cooked through, checking around 8-9 minutes.
- Remove the bagels from the air fryer and let them cool for 5-10 minutes before slicing and topping.
Notes
These bagels are best enjoyed fresh but can last for about 3-5 days in the fridge. For longer storage, freeze them in a freezer bag for up to two months. When ready, just toast them up.
